In practice since 1985, Dr. Christensen strives to discover and correct the underlying cause of your health problems. Understanding that the goal is not simply to heal the body but in many instances to heal the life. Expect straight and honest dialog with an emphasis to assist you in getting well as quickly and economically as possible. In using nutritional supplement, I understand that the reason for taking a supplement is so that you don't have to take supplements any more. True healing can only occur when the body is cleansed and nourished.

Dr. Christensen has been a practicing chiropractor (since 1985), as well as a naturopath and master herbalist. In 1996, he co-founded Western Botanicals, an herbal manufacturing company, which specializes in organic herbal remedies. In 2012, Dr. Christensen sold his interest in Western Botanicals and is no longer associated with the company. In 2006, he opened Nevada City APOTHECARY, an herb shop in a gold rush era setting in historic downtown Nevada City, California.

His expertise lies in treating a myriad of conditions using herbal cleanses and remedies, allergy elimination treatments (BioSET/NAET/PMT), acupressure, Dr. Weissman's Lifeline Technique, natural therapies and chiropractic health care. He is the author of Herbal First Aid and Health Care: Medicine for a New Millennium, published by Lotus Press in 2000. Dr. Christensen has conducted workshops locally and around the country on natural healthcare with the goal to have "An Herbalist in Every Home".

Dr. Christensen has been an active member of the Weston A. Price Foundation and is a strong advocate of living close to the earth and having a diet focused on whole natural foods. He views herbs as medicines created by nature with all of the active ingredients, co-factors, buffers, and synergistic phytochemicals that are balanced perfectly both chemically and energetically for the use of those who share this planet.

He has run marathons, participated in century bike rides, triathlons, and was once an avid rock climber. Dr. Christensen is passionate about permaculture and organic gardening, cooking, woodcarving, kayaking, backpacking and music (playing piano, guitar, harp, clarinet, various flutes and any other instrument he can get his hands on). He and his wife, Trish, have six children.
